The Sheridan Press is working with zNewsroom to create a mobile guide to Northern Wyoming. The app was created in partnership with the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce and Sheridan Travel & Tourism to create a local’s guide to Sheridan and Johnson counties. But whether users live in the area or are just visiting, the free guide is designed to offer everything you need to know about upcoming events and festivals, the best places to eat and drink, family-friendly activities, outdoor adventures, and beyond — all compiled by locals.

It features event calendars, outdoor itineraries, GPS mapping, a marketplace of local businesses and access to all of the communities within the region. A feed of Sheridan Press news articles and interactive submission forms allow users to connect with local news and help shape it. Sponsored listings and display ads throughout the app offer a mix of revenue opportunities for the publisher. The publisher utilized the flexible zNewsroom platform to update the custom home screen on-the-fly to post urgent news and information about the Coronavirus pandemic.
